We just finished up two weeks of testing and training. It is always exciting to see who has made improvements and how the numbers look comparatively to years past. For me some of the highlights include new individual records in the womens no pole skate (Leah Hart), double pole (Amanda Moreland), and men's double pole (Adam Terko & Eric Lustgarten). Freshman Austin Meng nearly broke the 10year old men's 3K record missing it by 1 second (9:42 set by Angus McCusker in 2001). I missed seeing the always popular and grueling St. Regis TT due to illness. No new record this year but some excellent times posted by Freshmen Austin Meng and Will Frielinghaus (top 10 historically).
However the most impressive result of testing this year was Caroline Carpenter breaking the women's record up St. Regis by 1minute, that's crushing it, sorry Kalie.
On a rest week now with most of the team getting away from campus for the midsemester break.
